Each year, the Nominations Committee, in conjunction with leadership from the Board of Directors, propose nominees for each vacant board position to be presented for a vote at the Annual Meeting. This year’s meeting will be in Traverse City on Thursday, November 13, 2025. Special thank you to the 2025 Nominations Committee: Lisa Emery, University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, Immediate Past President and Chair; Valerie Hargraves, Grand Rapids Community College, Past President; Aimee Adamski, Macomb Community College, two-year institutions representative; Lauren Penner, University of Michigan-Dearborn, four-year public institutions representative; and Nico Kanagawa, University of Detroit-Mercy (formerly)/Henry Ford College (currently), four-year private/independent institutions representative. Here are the nominees to be voted on at the upcoming Annual Meeting in November:
2026 Nominations Committee Kristy LaramoreAdmissions Coordinator, Keweenaw Bay Ojibwa Community College Kristy Laramore is the Admissions Coordinator at Keweenaw Bay Ojibwa Community College (KBOCC), where she is dedicated to helping students navigate the admissions process and supporting them as they begin their higher education journey. With a strong commitment to student success, Kristy works to make higher education accessible and welcoming for all students, while promoting the unique opportunities offered at KBOCC. She is especially passionate about outreach, recruitment, and building connections that encourage students to take the next step in their educational path.
2026 Nominations Committee Becky KeoghSenior Associate Registrar, Michigan State University Becky has worked in higher education since 2008, beginning her career on the athletics side as a softball coach and application reader before moving into registrar and enrollment services. Since joining Michigan State University as Senior Associate Registrar in 2022, she has focused on advancing student success by strengthening collaboration with advisors and faculty, clarifying policy, and modernizing systems to better serve students and staff. Becky has been active in MACRAO and AACRAO, sharing expertise through presentations on transfer, records management, and the evolving role of the registrar. She looks forward to contributing to the Nominations Committee by supporting a strong and representative slate of leaders for MACRAO’s future. Becky holds a BSE in Mathematics Education and a Master of Arts in Kinesiology (Sports Management) from the University of Michigan. She is pursuing her Ed.D. at Michigan State University and also earned a Leadership Professional Certificate from the University of Iowa.
2026 Nominations Committee Maci BestAdmissions Officer, Madonna University Maci is honored to serve on the Nominations Committee in her first role with MACRAO. As an Admissions Officer, she specializes in supporting local community college transfer students and brings valuable insight into the role of private institutions in expanding access and providing personalized educational experiences. She is grateful for the professional growth opportunities MACRAO provides and looks forward to giving back, connecting with colleagues across the state, and continuing to grow as a higher education professional. Maci holds a Master of Business Administration from Madonna University.
President-Elect Urana Pridemore Director of Undergraduate Enrollment Management, University of Michigan-Dearborn Urana has spent 23 years in Higher Education at the University of Michigan-Dearborn in Enrollment Management, advancing from Admissions Counselor to Director of Undergraduate Enrollment Management in the Office of Admissions. She takes pride in serving her 2 time alma mater and helping students access the same opportunities she received there. A longtime MACRAO member, Urana has served as Co-Chair/Chair of multiple MACRAO committees and presented at conferences and is currently a member of the Enrollment Management Committee. She has contributed nationally to AACRAO's Transfer Student Success Workgroup and the CAS Standards for Transfer update coming this fall. She also serves on the Wayne County College Access Network leadership team and recently the MiLEAP OHE Advisory Council. Urana earned her Doctorate in Education from Central Michigan University in 2024, her dissertation focusing on transfer students. She is married with two children, an upcoming senior and 8th grader, and enjoys attending their sporting events and reading in her downtime.
Communications Coordinator Sarah HenryDirector of Admissions, Glen Oaks Community College Sarah has worked in higher education for over 10 years in various positions. She currently serves as the Director of Admissions at Glen Oaks Community College. Sarah started her college education at Mid Michigan College before transferring to Ferris State University to complete her Bachelor's degree. Following her Bachelor's, she pursued her Master's in Communication from Southern New Hampshire University. In addition to her current position at Glen Oaks, Sarah is also an adjunct faculty member and she currently serves as the Interim Regional Coordinator for Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society.
Adrianna MorenoAssociate Registrar-School of Dentistry, University of Detroit Mercy Adrianna began her career in K-12 education; since her transition to higher education, she has served in roles in Student Services and Academic Administration. As the registrar at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry, she has worked to pursue professional development through MACRAO and the AACRAO Medical & Health Professions Schools group. Adrianna is excited to continue getting involved and contributing to MACRAO's mission. Adrianna holds a Master in Education from the University of Detroit Mercy.
Eric GieskeStudent Records & Curriculum Coordinator-Stamps School of Art & Design, University of Michigan-Ann Arbor Prior to working in higher education, Eric developed a passion for working with databases while using geographic information systems (GIS) to create maps for urban planning projects. He has managed student records for the past 12 years, first at the Eastern Michigan University School of Nursing and currently at the Stamps School of Art & Design at the University of Michigan. He is honored to serve as the Membership Coordinator for MACRAO. Eric holds a Master’s Degree from Eastern Michigan University.
Transfer Liaison for State-wide Initiatives Deedee StakelyDirector-Office of Transfer and Secondary School Partnerships, Ferris State University Throughout her career in higher education, Deedee has been deeply committed to building pathways that support equitable, student-centered transfer experiences. She is particularly drawn to this role because it aligns with her passion for collaborative policy development, cross-sector coordination, and improving outcomes for historically underserved student populations. In addition to her formal experience leading institutional transfer efforts and participating in statewide working groups, Deedee brings a strategic mindset and familiarity with Michigan’s evolving postsecondary landscape. Her work has involved the implementation of articulation agreements, reverse transfer policies, credit for prior learning, and advising tools designed to support seamless mobility. She’s also contributed to state and regional initiatives, including MiLEAP and Sixty by 30, and has served on planning committees for professional development events that advance our collective understanding of transfer equity and access. She is excited by the opportunity to continue serving MACRAO in a leadership capacity and help shape the future of transfer work across the state. Dr. Stakley holds an EdD from Ferris State University.
